Has Our Government Spent $21 Trillion Of Our Money Without Telling Us?
Forbes ^ | Dec 8 - 2017 | Laurence Kotlikoff

Posted on 12/17/2017 4:24:54 PM PST by free_life

“No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law; and a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published from time to time.” ~ Article I, Section 9, Clause 7, The US Constitution

On July 26, 2016, the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) issued a report “Army General Fund Adjustments Not Adequately Documented or Supported”. The report indicates that for fiscal year 2015 the Army failed to provide adequate support for $6.5 trillion in journal voucher adjustments. According to the GAO's Comptroller General, "Journal vouchers are summary-level accounting adjustments made when balances between systems cannot be reconciled. Often these journal vouchers are unsupported, meaning they lack supporting documentation to justify the adjustment or are not tied to specific accounting transactions…. For an auditor, journal vouchers are a red flag for transactions not being captured, reported, or summarized correctly."

This was when Buttcrack Hussein was in the White House, the money probably went to Iran and a whole host of countries and terrorist organizations that want to blow us up. Ever notice how ISIS positively flourished and actual countries were afraid of them when that egghead was president? And it’s just as telling how they’ve crumbled like an Oreo cookie when the prez smartly got out of the way and let the military take these jerks to the cleaners.

What we do know is that our Treasury Department has PAID billions upon billions of dollars to religious and secular and UN entities, directly, for refugee resettlement. It is unconstitutional. Jeh Johnson was “caught” busing illegal Somalis through Mexico. Don’t think for one second it was anything other than billions of US tax dollars that brought Pope Francis to our southern border to ridicule stopping the flow of money.

No problem. A couple of years of hyperinflation will take care of the debt, and your life savings.

I have no problem believing this.

For years I’ve mentioned we’re being economically gang banged by the disciples of deceit in D.C. For two+ decades these SOB were running the country into the ground while they got really wealthy.

Oh they had all that money and couldn’t do anything coherent.

Hookers and blow is the inevitable stop for people that have zero character or integrity. Jesse Jackson, jr. is testament to that, nobody believes that crap about his bipolar disorder that was cured in 5 weeks in Arizona or that he was spending campaign money on expensive watches and shoes.

No one person is responsible for the 20+ trillion deficit even though the President has the final say.

Not true.

“You don’t think they actually spent $500 on a hammer do you?”

Sure they did. Allowing suppliers to massively over-bill the government is how political debts are paid and future campaign contributions are earned.

Just one more form of political corruption - all nice and legal and above board too.

Was that a hammer or a NAIL GUN? I could maybe believe a nail gun and air compressor that cost a lot but I don’t believe a claw hammer that costs hundreds.

There is great fear in liberal land for many reasons. One of the biggest is 4% growth leads to 6% growth as foreign investment pours in. 6% growth for 12 years doubles our economy and leaves the world in the dust. 12 years maybe. 15 years likely. Our friends will share in this prosperity; our enemies will not.

A trillion here, a trillion there, and pretty soon you’re talking about real money.

Actually the opposite is true: pretty soon you’re talking about a worthless U.S. dollar.

It was a claw hammer with replaceable heads. Even the heads were expensive. No battery pack, air hose or cord. Just a hammer that you swing. It was hundreds of dollars-my mouth hung open for a bit, called my husband over to check it out and he about fell over in shock.
