I wouldn’t be so excited about ONE thing if i was a southerner.
I already know a number of NYers who are talking about heading to confederate land because they can’t deduct states taxes like they used to :)

Virginia has already been ruined by people fleeing New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts.
NC is not far behind.

On the other hand, residents of New York state may finally begin to demand lower state taxes.
That’s OK - let them come. The South has plenty of tall trees, lots of strong rope - and very deep swamps in which to hide the bodies.
They’ll need reeducating. Got to take them out shooting, invite them over, teach them to like the good things, such as BBQ and beer, fishing, all-terrain vehicles, etc. Make them listen to country-western and bluegrass. Take them to tent meetings and then honky tonks:-) They want multicultural, don’t they? Finally, when they haven’t found any sheets and hoods in your closet, no matter how hard they looked, and are convinced that you are not married to your cousin, play talk radio, and let them figure out that it’s Rush they’re listening to. Either they’ll run away screaming back to New York, or they’ll undergo a paradigm shift and start trying to sound Southern themselves, and you’ll be their guide to a new way of life.

There was a story here in Connecticut the other day about a billionaire from Greenwich, CT. He was paying $30M in state income taxes. He just moved to Florida.
You’ve probably heard what a financial disaster this state is in; so $30M [and others like him] go a long way to helping with our multi-trillion dollar debt.
Left are us poor slobs to pick up the slack.
