Most of my incandescent are 40 & 60....but I'm not dumb either and prefer not to change light bulbs every 6 months.

Therefore, MOST of my bulbs are now the curly ones.

Remember when car tires had tubes?? Things change. Would you all rather have the tube ones?? Get real.

The curly ones have mercury in them.

I’m switching everything over to LEDs. Better light too.

If they are superior then the government ought to let the markets work. They will leave on their own. I use LEDS and CFLs mostly but incandescents still have their place. They put off enough heat to keep baby chicks and plants alive.

The market takes care of these things naturally. Government....GTFO!

You definitely need to try the newer LEDs. Lowes has a cheap brand called utilitech that are pretty good. Last time I was there, I grabbed GE by accident. 100 watts of light for 13 watt cost. The 60 watt utilitech are good for indoors and they use 8.5 watts. Just about the same color as incandescent. I bought the 100 watt to put in one of those clamp on, aluminum reflector fixtures. That sucker puts out some light. I’m going to get more and light my shop with them.
