This decorative vote just demonstrates again that the UN is a completely irrelevant institution. Smart business would demand that we cease our involvement with the UN, including funding and hosting. I hope our smart businessman president can once and for all end this farce. The UN is and has been a place for sophomoric idiots to dress up and play government games. Get the US out of the UN and the UN out of the US!
And live high on the hog in NYC while flouting that city's traffic laws.
Perhaps we should gradually, say over a one year period, stop paying everything but our basic “dues” to the club, then reappoint Nikki Haley to some other government position and simply cease participating altogether. We would leave it where it is as a showcase for the world’s stupidity. Gradually the UN would be de-emphasized by other major countries who can no longer make political hay with it. At some time in the future we can terminate the lease. I like that better than simply leaving.
