Here's What Jill Stein Had to Say About Her Dinner With Putin

Former Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein spoke out Thursday about why she’s the latest target in a congressional inquiry into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election.

Stein called the 2015 RT dinner she attended with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow a “non-event” because there wasn’t even a translator at the table.

RT is a state-run news and propaganda channel.

"There was no translator at the table," Stein said on CNN’s “OutFront with Erin Burnett.” "Vladimir Putin came in very late, with three, four people that I thought were his bodyguards, turns out they were core people in his administration, but you never would have known that."

"There were no introductions, no conversations," she added. "Russians spoke Russian, I spoke to the only person in earshot who spoke English, who was a German diplomat that was sitting to my right. So it was really quite a non-event."

The most “significant” part of the dinner was shaking Putin’s hand, she explained.

“At one point, Putin made a very rapid turn around the table and shook everybody’s hand, but without any exchange of names, so that’s about as significant as this was," she said.

Stein said earlier this week that the Senate Intelligence Committee contacted her presidential campaign for documents to determine if there was a possible connection to Russia.

Later Thursday she told Fox News that she has “yet to see the proof" that Russia meddled in last year’s election.

"I think there are legitimate aims here in the investigation," Stein told Fox News' "Tucker Carlson Tonight." "Interference in our election is much bigger than the Russians and ... I would like to see the evidence of Russian culpability here."

Did she just admit she was a virtual nobody? Did she feel honored to be brought into the room of grownups, tolerated for a few minutes, then sent away? Priceless.

I’m surprised she doesn’t want to push the “Russian meddling” lie because some fault her for Clinton’s loss. On the other hand, she showed how Dems can be hurt by third parties (as Gore was in 2000) instead of just Republicans (as Bush I was by Perot earlier than that).

She's hiding something. The sheer fact that nothing happened means we should have a special prosecutor spend 18 months and 18 million dollars looking into it.

Dmitry Medvedev speaks at least some English. He was caught on the infamous live mike where Obama told him he’d have “more flexibility”.

I’d be shocked if Putin spoke none.

The mere fact that Jill Stein exists is driving most liberals crazy. And it’s driving the Hillary liberals extra-crazy. So in a way, I guess you can say I’m pro-Jill Stein.

My advice to Jill: Make the Green Party a viable alternative to the corrupt Democrat Party. Field candidates for every office in all 50 states.

This is the dinner that Flynn attended, he is in the picture as well. Yet the Dems tried to hang him with that photo. Why didn’t this woman step forward earlier to absolve him?

Ralph Nader, who was Jill Stein's predecessor as standard bearer of the US Greenies, at least managed to gain some name-recognition as a political gadfly and an amusing eccentric during his half dozen or so runs for President. Jill Stein couldn't even manage that much.

I don’t think Jane Fonda spoke much Vietnamese or realized just what her presence meant to those with cameras and a printing press/tv studio.

Yeah, okay. So the second most powerful leader in the world just shows up at a table with people he doesn’t know and has dinner with them. Okay.

On Tucker she makes the point this ‘russia’ business is being pushed by those that had a vested interest in Hillary winning, that includes both R and D swamp things.

maybe because she was a third party candidate and was only interested in herself.

Jill Stein was on Tucker Carson’s yesterday. So now some Hillary devotees are blaming her for the loss. I also heard that some blame her make-up artist for making Hillary look cute but weak and fragile or something like that.

I thought this was a lead-up to a sexual harassment charge against Putin, or he grabbed her P**** to show how much alike Putin and Trump truly are. Since the DNC politically sodomized Bernie, perhaps the DNC was pimping out Jill - they sure used her when they needed her in the failed recount gambit.

No translator at the table? Not a problem for Putin, who can speak English.

Somebody should tell the hillaristas what all of us know who live in an area where she should've done better. A whole lot of Bernie supporters were mad as *ell about the stolen nomination and the pilfered debate questions. Some stayed home, some voted third party or write in, some voted for President Trump as the best way to destroy politics as usual.

Duhhhhh.....Those who voted for Jill Stein weren't as damaging to her results as those who voted for President Trump. From that standpoint, I'd say Jill Stein helped hillary. If she hadn't been on the ballot, even more of Bernie's supporters would've voted for President Trump.
