If he had bowed out more gracefully, maybe having someone like Rogan be a guest host more and more then there need never have been a break.
BTW, near the end McLaughlin was not all that conservative. He sounded more and more like a pragmatist who was willing to cave on issues if he believed there was little hope of going against the winds.

My husband and I used to tease each other. One of us would, while standing 2 or 3 feet from the other, with a “Loud Howard” voice, yell out, “DO YOU WANT TO WATCH THE MCLAUGHLIN REPORT?” To which the other us would bellow, “OK!”, or “NO, NOT RIGHT NOW, THANKS!” (It doesn’t take much to make us laugh).

I only watched McLaughlin to hear him introduce ‘Freddy the Beadle Barnes.’ That cracked me up. Eleanor Clift was the main reason I quit watching.
a couple of weeks ago i wached PBS evening news but it was solid fake news. Thinking I had missed something, I watched another evening’s worth but it too was solid fake news. I thought to myself that what PBS needed was a genuine conservative point of view or at least something like the McLaughlin Group. However, not sure I would bother trying to catch it since I cannot stand Clift.

TMG and Firing Line were the only media outlets for conservatives before Rush. We had local talk radio but it was usually on AM radio and during hours I was at school. As a teenager and young man, it was the only place to go to find refuge from the leftist, America-hating slime I saw spewing forth every day.

Thanks for posting that video. What strikes me is the first discussion point is the Russians hacking the DNC. They’re all assuming that it’s completely true, without any evidence whatsoever. That media narrative to this day dominates the Alt Left Media and the public perception. Very credible evidence points to an inside job, and that the info. was downloaded onto a memory stick and not hacked over the network. That means someone at the DNC with access to their computers did it. The DNC insider name that comes up most frequently is Seth Rich, who was murdered shortly after the leak.
The Russian hacking story is very likely a complete lie.
