I like Trump but there should be no amnesty period. We have done this before. Part of the reason we have such a racial & cultural divide in this nation has to do with amnesties. Any more amnesties will just exacerbate this.
Amnesty but no citizenship. Go back and get in line like other foreign nationals.
Wall + end of chain migration is worth 1m relatively young people being amnestied. Otherwise you end up with no wall, no end of chain migration and the next president will then amnesty them and you get nothing out of it.
There has never been an effective wall though. If there’s a wall I’ll compromise for those that truly came as a child, especially when they don’t speak Spanish and are educated contributors to society.
I just don’t see deporting them all as an option.
They’re not going anywhere. If he ends chain migration and some of the other silly immigration things. If he really does get a merit based system and really does build the wall you should only see this as a HUGE win because they’re not going anywhere regardless of all the belly aching from the other side. They’re not the priority.
