Lawyers on behalf of President Donald Trump sent a letter Wednesday night to former White House Chief Strategist Stephen Bannon demanding he refrain from making disparaging comments against the president and his family.

The letter, comes after excerpts from a forthcoming book by journalist Michael Wolff were made public Wednesday, causing a stir.

Trump attorney Charles Harder said in a statement, "This law firm represents President Donald J. Trump and Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. On behalf of our clients, legal notice was issued today to Stephen K. Bannon, that his actions of communicating with author Michael Wolff regarding an upcoming book give rise to numerous legal claims including defamation by libel and slander, and breach of his written confidentiality and non-disparagement agreement with our clients. Legal action is imminent."

Oh good, like any good businessman he had employees sign a pre-employment agreement.

amazing that people are still taking bannon’s side, even though he hasn’t actually accomplished anything except giving away an unlosable senate seat, and despite the fact that he now stands opposed to DJT and his agenda.

it would seem like people need to reexamine their loyalties. immediately.

Don’t know but if they sent a cease and desist letter, they have to be worried about something.

About as much as a non-comp agreement. The employer frequently has the resources to take it to court, the employee loses even if they win because future employers won’t touch them.

“This law firm represents President Donald J. Trump and Donald J. Trump for President, Inc....”

NOT the federal government.

Bannon is very destructive. He’s doing harm to the nation.
He’s doing harm to this administration. Steve Bannon is an absolute ass-clown.

I think Trump is doing a great job. Bannon is hurting the nation because he’s got to have his Rosie O’Donell looking ass center stage.

Bannon is not worthy to own the company that bears Andrew Breitbart’s name. He’s a disgrace to Andrew Breitbart’s good name.

Bannon also got behind Roy Moore and most of us in Alabama knew that was a poor decision. Bannon is arrogant and clueless. Bannon has ruined himself forever with me.

Could very well be.

Lots of behind the scenes MAGA work being done, it seems.

I agree, and I sure took a lot of verbal abuse for saying Bannon was wrong in Alabama.

I don’t think Bannon is worried about future employment in the WH and I think he is smart enough to know if he did indeed cross a legal line.

Sad. No winners here. The future of our republic is at stake, and there is absolutely no upside to internecine combat.

But from what I understand, unless it concerns matters of national security, there isn’t much Trumps lawyers can do against Bannon.
