Check out the Kershaw Emerson 6034T CQC-7K. It’s a folder with a unique opening feature. Comes out very fast with a little practice. It’s my current carry and I’m very pleased with it.

So called "assisted opening" knives get around anti-switchblade laws and are very good/concealable options. I like that it is concealable, and right there clipped to the lip of my pocket. The fixed blades I have are nice, but not concealable. Also, while you don't have to flip a lever or push a stud, at least with the sheaths I have I'd have to fumble with a snap to release the hilt.

You can spend a lot on a knife - it is easy to get into the $500 - $1500 range. For very good, solid feel and operation at a far more reasonable price look into Kershaw or Columbia River Knife & Tool (CRKT).
