A certain portion of the ABLE population doesn’t want work.

On the other hand I have seen people in wheel chairs,or others who are considered “slow”,working.
Why can they work while others get everything paid for?
If the government would stop accommodating and incouraging people to take the “freebies” when it is not truly necessary we could possibly reach full employment.
no need to doctor the numbers.

Absolutely true. Our government, our education system and a coddling society don’t encourage or prepare people to do productive work. To the contrary, they coddle people and enable them to avoid work.

I get what you're saying, but there are also huge disincentives for [some] forms of employment when it comes to creative pursuits. I, for example, work in tech and some of the contracts I've come across are really quite terrible when it comes to Intellectual Property to the point that your employer could claim something you invent completely off-the-clock, and this is without something incriminating like taking five seconds to jot down your idea on a post-it note during work hours.

Honestly, I don't want to work under those sorts of constraints, where the company can steal the results of my creativity.
