Love is always in the air through the holiday season, making one flight on duty extra-special for a couple in aviation.
On Dec. 23, flight attendant Lauren Gibbs and pilot Jon Emerson were working an Oklahoma City-bound flight from Detroit that was especially sweet, not only because they were flying together, but also because it was their anniversary.

The pilot has been fired. His actions were found to be "exclusionary" to all other women (and some men) on the plane and did not represent the accepted vision of the airline.
All passengers were issued an apology and a refund of the fare to offset hurt feelings.
A SWAT team was called and the pilot was removed from the flight deck in manacles. He will be arraigned in the morning.
