President Donald Trump has said the US could "conceivably" return to the 2015 Paris climate accord if an agreement treated America more fairly.
He said it "was a bad deal for the US", repeating comments made when he announced the US withdrawal last June.
But he said he had no problem with the accord itself.
A US pull-out will make the US in effect the only country not to be part of the accord. The announcement sparked global anger.

He’s been saying that from the moment and even before we withdrew. I believe we still attend meeting so we know what the hell is going on behind our back.
The whole premise of MAN CAUSED climate change is a fiction. Any policy or treaty meant to “combat” it is therefore foolish and dangerous to America and Americans.
If he did this I would no longer support him....

Trump wants a better deal to rejoin. The EU and other countries say that it will not negotiate a separate deal with the US.
Trump mentioned the conditions for the US to rejoin in his statement announcing our withdrawal. He has been totally consistent. The main reason he even mentions rejoining is political. He is placing the responsibility on the bad deal and not the US commitment to protecting the environment regardless of whether we are in the Paris accord or not.
Obama should have treated the Paris Climate Agreement as a treaty requiring ratification by the Senate. Trump is not going wobbly.
IMHO Trump is so FAR ahead of his adversaries in 3-D chess moves, they have no defense. He baits them with shadowy “proposals” while actually promising nothing. His “show and tell” DACA meeting was amazing to watch. To the point he was getting praise from CNN. But through the whole “I sign anything” statement is the tacit requirement for the Wall.
“Congress gave me a great bill, a wonderful bill... but there’s no wall? Add that and we do great things.” If after praising him media goes back to “He’s a pig”... how’s that play in flyover land? It make tem look silly (or sillier).
He has also set the Democrats up for the counter-narrative that they care more for DACA kids (they do) than Americans... to the point of closing down the government.
Crafty he is... he knows his people and his opponents better than they do. All in my humble analysis of course.

There are a lot of “take my toys home” bed wetters here. Who the heck ever thought we would agree with every Trump move? Nobody with a brain. But is he far, far better than the alternatives? Yes. Should conservatives try to keep him onside? Yes.
Trump says stuff like this the same way people say we should get together and do something one of these days.

If he attracted 12 M Dems to vote for him, he quite obviously attracted them by a demonstration of strength against illegals, globalism, global warming BS, etc.
Flipping on these issues is NOT: "showing them his garter."
He will lose them as well as fracture his base.
His position has absolutely changed on DACA.
He went from 100% no DACA to conditional DACA.
There is no mistake in what he said.
