I have worked in companies where the top level people running them lived in a reality separate from the one where the rest of us resided. Because they lived in and dealt with a world that was imaginary, they would give directions based on what they thought was needed. These invariably clashed with what the real situation on the ground was and resulted in, on varying timetables, the destruction of the company. The time to destruction was proportional to how far away from the real reality the CEO’s view was.

Hillary sees a reality where she is all knowing and a god to the little people. If she decrees that something is so, then, it is so. She probably views herself as God’s gift to Haiti. Whatever she says to the press is, at least for that moment, a pronouncement from God’s lips.

America dodged a bullet this time.

If the FBI could ever get her to an on-record interview, a skilled interrogator could get her to indict herself. I think the people who interviewed her last time, not under oath and not recorded, knew exactly what they’d get and didn’t want the evidence around that would call their clemency judgment into question.

“If she decrees that something is so, then, it is so.”

this is the same crap thinking so many teach like oprah - in her golden globe speech trying to get people to think that speaking YOUR truth is the most powerful thing...

if someone’s a self absorbed person - like company heads you mention, their truth is only in their mind but not usually reality.

I stayed up reading The Coldest Winter (about the Korean War). You just presented a perfect summary.
