SAIPAN, Northern Mariana IslandsThis U.S. territory in the western Pacific is known for its epic World War II battle, white-sand beaches and the enduring culture of its indigenous Chamorro people.
But for a certain class of Chinese parents, Saipan has become known as the latest hot spot for birth tourism, a place where women can give birth to babies who will automatically acquire U.S. citizenship.
The Northern Marianas, an island chain that includes Saipan, is the only U.S. soil that Chinese can visit without a visa, after a change in immigration policy in 2009 allowed Chinese and Russian tourists visa-free entry for up to 45 days.

The Northern Marianas pressed for the visa waiver to support an economy reliant on tourism, notably to Saipans casinos and gambling parlors. The number of Chinese visitors has risen substantially since 2009 and now represents 36% of tourists to the island, which is four to five hours flight from Shanghai and Guangzhou. Tourism accounts for 72% of Saipans economy.
The number of American babies born here to Chinese women who entered as tourists also climbedto 472 last year from eight in 2009according to the Northern Marianas government. Last year, for the first time, more Chinese tourists gave birth here than Americans.

Shut. It. Down.
Drop in the bucket compared to the illegals who stroll in from Mexico and points south to squat and drop.
In both cases, this is only possible because too many Americans won’t breed. Neither party will accept ghost towns sprouting up across the country, so they’ll import Third Worlders in any way possible.
And just wait until Venezuela collapses. Totally. We need the wall NOW!
Yes.
We need to end anchor babies. But I am less concerned about a few hundred wealthy Chinese Anchor babies than millions of anchor babies with chain migration from south of the border.
Well, they do it in California too. And wealthy Chinese probably tend to be in good with the Chinese government.
Future Manchurian candidates?
Some recognize wealthy Chinese as Chicaps....... they operate profitable businesses
Easy answer (and notice this changed in 2009 when Obama took office). Tourist visa allowed for up to 45 days. Birth citizenship not allowed until child has been in America for 90 days.
We are importing babies from the third world, while aborting American babies. The resulting demographic shift is already visible throughout our nation.
We are surrendering American culture.
In 20 years, America will be no more. Florida, Texas and Arizona will be blue and we will be done.
Time to elevate jus sanquinus (blood link)over jus soli (location) and join the rest of the world acknowledging parents’ sovereign rights over their kids, including source of citizenship.
IOW, time to end ‘birthright’ citizenship of foreign aliens born here by legislation. And fix the definition of ‘natural born’ citizen in the same legislation.
It took 30 years to completely flip California. Most of the pieces are in place to flip FL, AZ, and TX by 2020. Open borders. Chain migration. Birth right citizenship. Indoctrinating public schools. Biased constitutionally protected media. Drug infestation. Pathetic political leadership. And more.
We have surrendered our Republic.
Our system is designed to support lawyers by pitting spouses against each other. It's not designed to foster child bearing and raising.
I understand there are many reasons for it; I also understand they are carefully engineered by a “zero population growth” movement that has replaced traditional Western families with pornography and pets, while trafficking the Third World’s children into the West. The demographic changes are happening much more rapidly than any projections would admit; consider how many years ago it was broadcast that more white people were dying every day than being born.
Thanks, Obama.
