The once lush and productive Haiti, after gaining independence (and a turned back from us for it), got typically corrupt island governance and slid terribly. Their people began stripping the land for survival. Then, rains scoured away the topsoil. Renewing their crop cabilities will be near impossible, would require massive composting of imported biomass, IMO.

In January 2015 a group of Haitians surrounded the New York offices of the Clinton Foundation. They chanted slogans, accusing Bill and Hillary Clinton of having robbed them of “billions of dollars.” Two months later, the Haitians were at it again, accusing the Clintons of duplicity, malfeasance, and theft.
In May 2015, they were back, this time outside New York’s Cipriani, where Bill Clinton received an award and collected a $500,000 check for his foundation. “Clinton, where’s the money?” the Haitian signs read. “In whose pockets?” Said Dhoud Andre of the Commission Against Dictatorship, “We are telling the world of the crimes that Bill and Hillary Clinton are responsible for in Haiti.”

Too many in congress viewed the Clinton Family Foundation slush fund not as criminal activity but rather a blueprint for their future personal road to vast wealth.
Some like Corrine Brown tried to emulate this but weren't nearly as talented as the Clintons.

Being a Hollywood elite, any “Accident” Woods may have will not sit well with the Hollywood money.
They may not like Woods beating the Clintons round about the head, but I don’t think the money would flow.

Many of the countries the ‘hosted’ Bill Clinton and his million dollar ‘speeches’ were 3rd world hellholes that were looking for ‘kickbacks’ in the form of US favors.
Bill Clinton was looting the hellholes AND looting the American people at the same time.
