Well, I worked in NYC for a bit and his philosophies changed -everyone- in the city. Work had to happen an hour earlier and go to an hour later. Without any extra hourly pay.
It became a tougher environment after that book. It affected everyone and made a lot of people much meaner than they should be.
This is because many people think of this behavior as mean and simply “bitchy”. The truth is that at some point he released the nice guy image because his decisions affect a ton of people.
