I read on a previous thread about Venezuela heavy oil is that it is used in USA by a few specialized refineries to make ashphelt, tar and other heavy products.

On a separate issue ..I was talking to a truck driver a couple of years ago...I think in Wyoming or Colorado...anywy he was hauling molten sulphur from a refinery for processing.

Molton sulfur is generally shipped in special tank cars.
The Pine Bend refinery south of St. Paul receives Canadian heavy crude by pipeline every day.

Sulfur has it’s industrial uses, but it is acommon element. It can even be found in its raw form, on the ground, that’s where ‘Yellowstone’ gets its name................

The Citgo Lake Charles refinery was built to handle Venezuelan crude.
