President Donald Trump will address the March for Life on Friday in live remarks to hundreds of thousands of pro-life people attending the event from across the country. Trump is keeping a tradition alive that’s seen previous presidents taking a pro-life position making similar phone calls to encourage pro-life advocates to continue fighting against abortion.
President Trump will become the first president to speak to the March for Life via a live video feed. Presidents Ronald Reagan, George Bush, and George W Bush all addressed the March for Life as well with pro-life remarks. There remarks were typically pre-taped or they were aired via a live phone call to March for Life participants. With better technology available today, a live video stream is more easily accomplished.
President Trump was supposed to send remarks to the March for Life last year but did not do so because ice President Mike Pence and Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway were slated to speak at the event to represent the White House.
Last year Trump called out the mainstream media for essentially ignoring the March for Life.

In the past the March was always ignored by the media and the politicians.
President Trump is the first president to ever speak to the March for Life.
Hopefully, next year President Trump will join the marchers.

Who even knew this was Trump? Was he a closeted conservative all along? I couldn’t imagine a better president. What changed for him over the years? A transformation like this is rarely, if ever seen. He continues to amaze me.

I truly believe the Lord chose this man for a time such as this. Can you imagine that any of his primary opponents would have beaten Hillary? Can you imagine that if they had that ANY of them would have accomplished half of what president Trump has accomplished? Have you ever in your life seen a candidate campaign as hard as President Trump did? What he did in that last weekend leading up to election day would have probably killed me. The man was indefatigable. Absolutely a force of nature.
I’ve been to many of them. I don’t remember if it was in 1982 or 1983 but President Reagan addressed us by telephone.

Trump is actually speaking live to the March for Life by video feed. This is the first time a president has done this.
Any idea what time the President will speak?
