Uh...read his post again. And yes. We in the military will STILL be working. Ive worked during every government shutdown. Civilian employees get a paid day off basically. We work. He is suggesting I should not get paid for my work. Do you HONESTLY think the military would just get to sit at home during a government shut down? You dont know much about the military do you... Do you think our deployed guys in Afghanistan get to just stop working? The guys on the ships in the Navy at sea? Lol. No. But that is what the poster was suggesting. Hence my post. Think a little.
Active military yes they should get paid. Gov’t employees (non-uniform people) who sit at home and don’t go to work...they should not get paid, but can take leave or use comptime.
I could be wrong, but I assume he’s thinking during a shutdown gov’t workers won’t be working.
Don’t you get paid on the 1st? Hold your horses, cowboy. And yes, I’m a vet.
