Who cares what the Senate does? It takes more than that...a LOT MORE.

I would like to see every illegal deported. No exceptions. I’d even like to see those deportations all carry a permanent “do not return” ban on any path to legal reentry. However, I am willing to trade.

If we got full funding for the Wall, an end to chain migration, an end to the visa diversity lottery, merit immigration only and at greatly reduced numbers, and full funding for aggressive ICE enforcement and rapid immigration court hearings to deport 95% of the illegal scum in our country, I’d call that a big win. If in return, we had to give DACA legal “status” for as long as immigration enforcement and Wall construction continued full throttle, with no path to citizenship and no family reunification, I’d still call that a good deal.

I don’t demand perfect. In fact, given how close we came to a choice between either a second Civil War or a complete loss of our country, I’ll take a pretty good deal with one or two flaws and celebrate. The DACA “children” are a sympathetic group. Granted, that’s all a lie, and most of those “children” are adults and not people we want. Still, the democrats can save face by calling that a win, while we can save America by returning immigration to a program that serves the interests of the American people.
