Chris Cuomo’s Law states:
"As a political debate grows longer, the probability that a liberal will argue “think of the children” approaches 1."
Cuomo’s Law is a little like Godwin’s Law, except debates involving Hitler are invariably more entertaining. But the principle is the same: the more you argue with liberals, the more likely they are to remind you to “think of the children”—as if doing so ends the debate.
The law is named after long-time CNN commentator Chris Cuomo, whose standard refrain when it comes to the illegal immigration debate is “deporting illegals immigrants will break-up families—just think of the children.”
Well, I took Cuomo’s advice. I thought of the children—America’s children.
What I found is that illegal immigration hurts Americans kids by depriving them of a decent education. Illegal immigrants and anchor babies flood public schools thereby decreasing student-to-teacher ratios and watering-down funding. Likewise, schools with a high proportion of illegals are generally more violent and disorderly, in part due to the cultural and linguistic barriers between Americans and foreigners.
In this article I’ll explore the impact of illegal immigration on America’s education system in three states: California, Texas, and Illinois. I’ll start with California because it’s there the problem is biggest.

*1 in 5 Californian students is an illegal or anchor baby, and it costs $17.4 billion educating them.
*1 in 9 Texan students are illegal, costs $7.9 billion.
*1 in 10 Illinois' students is illegal, costs $1.4 billion to educate them.
Illegals increase class sizes, increase student-to-teacher ratios, contribute to poor classroom organization, and decrease the quality of education generally.

The shocker is that only 11% are “white.”
The local school district last year sent out a mailer to all households bragging on their claims that over 80 different languages are spoken in the area.
Have to go to school for a long time to get that stupid. They believe they are “intellectuals”. Truth is they are a bunch of quacks. Now it is true if one makes their living teaching ESL, that makes for pretty good job security, for a while anyway.

To Democrats, this is irrelevant. They murder > 90% of their children anyway, before they are born, so children are nothing to Democrats.
Our school had appointments to almost every service academy every year. We had NHS members and over $2 million in scholarships annually. A very large number of our students enlisted in the military and had decent opportunities because of their above average ASVAB scores.
Then they came in from Salinas and south of the border. Our federal funding surged as we were classified as over 80% minority. Our free lunch program surged to 100%. Our vocational programs evaporated while ESL classes surged.
Our school dropped to nearly the bottom of the state in academic achievement. Our pregnancy rate is now as high as our graduation rate. The school facility is ruined with broken, destroyed or graffiti covered equipment and walls. A huge amount of maintenance funds are now spent on graffiti removal and special paints and coating that make removal easier.
We were a nation of immigrants that wanted to blend into the American melting pot. Now it is just an invasion of hispanics seeking all the freebies and breaking everything before they leave.
Here in NJ there is a lot of friction between American homeowners with sky-high property taxes (75% of which pay for public schools) and the foreign newcomers who fill those schools with their children. It can no longer be concealed that so many students are foreigners; Americans here have no interest in paying $6K+ in school taxes alone for these imports.
NJ is Ground Zero in the open borders debate; we’d have ghost towns and closed schools if the border was effective (which is fine by me; the state would have to make adjustments to remain competitive with the other 49).

The most amazing thing is, it is all institutionalized by law. Most of these laws were passed with the best of intentions and the most naive of expectations.
