President Trump told mainstream media reporters on Wednesday that he was open to breaking his immigration commitment by giving a pathway to U.S. citizenship to nearly 800,000 illegal aliens shielded from deportation by the President Obama-created Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
In statements outside the White House, Trump told the Associated Press (AP) that he would be open to giving U.S. citizenship to DACA illegal aliens, saying “It’s going to happen.”

He’s always said he’d consider it in terms of DACA. Early on.
If he does......he’s “one and done”.
There are a whole lot of cavieats that hat which the democrats will never agree to.
The ‘Rat Party (of the gov’t supported non-workers) deserve no more taxpayer funded voters.
Period.
This is all the Democrats want. They don’t care about “taking illegals out of the shadows.” They want the new votes.
Except the 800,000 is really in excess of 3 million. Don’t do it President Trump. Build the wall and let them come back in a legal fashion.
Cool. One and done. The reins pass to the Rats, and by sheer demographics and their hate, the USA is done.
PROVE to me that a kid came here as a one year old, and I’ll listen to giving them permanent resident status with no rights to sponsor anyone else, and NO path to citizenship except a hitch in the Army. No voting or welfare ever. Sorta like an LDO in the military.
But these adult and teen Central American MEN that piled onto the Mexican trains to the border when Obama invited in that 2015 flood? Not the same thing. This is what DACA is really about.

Does he mean 800K or does he mean almost 4 million, the number I’ve heard? Either way, if chain migration, anchor babies, and the porous border aren’t stopped, we’re screwed.

Agreed. Before people start yelling doom and gloom on a thread like this, it is likely that there are all sorts of conditions associated with making any sort of deal concerning DACA.
Everyone should just sit back, relax, and crack open a fine beer or pour a shot of good liquor and enjoy the ride. This may not happen again in our lifetimes. We are privy to perhaps the greatest negotiator and salesman as President since the days of the Founding Fathers. I have complete faith in Trump that this is another tactic that’s going to cause the Left and establishment Right to fold prematurely and then walk away in bitter anger as Trump wins again.
