DOJ tells Nunes releasing memo would be "extraordinarily reckless"

Assistant Attorney General Stephen Boyd told House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Devin Nunes in a letter Wednesday that releasing a memo prepared by the committee's staff alleging abuses at the Department of Justice and FBI would be "extraordinarily reckless."

Republicans have been urging for the release of the memo, which, as Boyd pointed out, likely contains highly classified information. In the letter, obtained by CBS News, Boyd highlights how crucial it is that the committee not release the memo to the public for reasons of national security. The memo describes the FBI's supposed abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

The DOJ and FBI have recently been proven to have been committing perjury, colluding with the Clinton campaign and DNC, destroying evidence, obstructing justice and illegally leaking to the media.

They think that those activities are praiseworthy and admirable. They say that telling the truth to the American people is "reckless".

All they are doing is “classifying” evidence of their wrongdoing and then using this bogus claim of “classified information” as a shield from exposure and prosecution. At this point you can’t believe a thing DOJ says because they are up to their eyeballs in the malfeasance.

It’s time to completely dissolve the DOJ, including the FBI, and start over from scratch. Fire the “employees,” zero out pensions, investigate everyone for corruption, and determine who can be rehired in any new law enforcement organization.

Interesting.

Expect some more fireworks soon. Trump is attacking a lot of people’s meal ticket, people who assumed they ruled the world.

“extraordinarily reckless.”

Thank goodness it would not be “grossly negligent”

Why does that putz Sessions let Boyd do his dirty work? Sessions is responsible so he should take credit for it.

Deep state is pushing hard to block the release now. I give it a 50-50 chance of being released and the odds get worse every day. I think the SOTU is our best hope.

Nunes just needs to do it, not 2 weeks from now either. Best idea is Trump read the memo at the State of the Onion address.

The FBI and DOJ have been stonewalling Congress on getting documents that they are required to provide. They want the report so they can leak it selectively to the MSM and destroy its contents.

The latest example of a possible ongoing cover-up was the lame response to the missing texts of the lovebird agents trying to stage a coup. We now know that this was a lie and that the texts are recoverable. Who is responsible for the lie and who authored its release?

53% to 46%. The Dems must be big participants. Hard to imagine why 46% of the population would be against release of information that shows corruption within the FBI and DOJ and the violation of American citizens’ constitutional rights.

As a retired police officer with over 30 years experience I tell America our country is so divided and we are on the brink of America being torn apart or maybe even further we may have to have a Civil War to save her. When the FBI and Justice Department being proved to be corrupt at the top and Americans taking sides against Americans over illegals we are at a low point in numerous areas and at a very dangerous point like we never had seen. I have no doubts the Democrat Party is Evil and power Hungary and a number of Republicans are right there with them.
