I looked at the LG washers a couple years ago when I had to replace a Maytag that pooped the bed after only 5 years due to plastic made-in-china internals. These newfangled washers may look fancy, but they’re almost 100% made-in-china plastic garbage. And I don’t want a #@%&ing washing machine that will spew error codes at me.

That’s why I went with a Speed Queen. All metal parts, stainless steel tub, good reputation, made in USA. It’s the kind of washer they put in laundromats in Da Hood. It’s also easy to take the control panel off and bypass the stupid water conservation ‘eco’ BS so that the ‘extra large’ load setting actually fully fills the tub like it should.

Those parts are literally plastic garbage, I kid you not. I used to work in an industry which exported shredded plastic garbage to China, among other things. They are turned into a variety of export goods from clothing to plastic parts.
