That is all part of the kabuki. We act outraged while the Dems reject it anyway. POTUS comes out smelling like a moderate rose without any damage. Just wait until POTUS ups it to an amnesty of 3 million and the Dems still reject it. Then everybody will be hysterical while nothing happens. LOL.

Trump KNEW they’d reject his very reasonable compromise, and would end up looking like obstructionist assholes to the vast majority of folks. Trump now has the moral high ground and can lambast the Dems as intolerant, uncaring, inflexible ideological tools.
You called it. I almost got the feeling Levin didn’t believe what he was saying and just needed an “outrage” to get the show going.
I tried listening to Levin yesterday but had to turn it off. I don’t know what Levin’s problem is. I will not criticize Trump’s negotiating tactics until a deal is reached that goes against our grain. I don’t like citizenship but if it can put an end to the lottery and chain migration and a beautiful wall, I say we can bite that bullet. We are talking about the offspring of illegals here, not the criminals who came here originally - those people will not get off the hook but given a path, a fine, etc. behind everyone else. I can live with that just like I had to live with Obama pardoning drug lords. A deal here will put an end to people just pouring in here and that is a good thing.
