arlier this month at a German airport, what began as a disagreement with airport security ended with an American woman facing a charge of defamation for allegedly calling a federal officer a “Nazi.”
The woman, a distinguished professor at Georgetown University named C. Christine Fair, claims authorities mistreated her at Frankfurt International Airport — they patted down her breasts, called her a hippie and threatened to arrest her if she lodged a formal complaint against the officers — before fabricating the allegation against her.
“This was the most extraordinary case of police corruption I’ve personally witnessed,” she told The Star.

It is hard to determine who is the bigger snowflake, this idjit professor, or the German cop. Nonetheless, I’m reasonably certain that this idjit professor is not merely a snowflake, but a far Left, entitled, arrogant bitch...so she deserves whatever she gets.
FYI, I’m a Georgetown Alum - but from the business school, not Foreign Service. Some of the people that I knew while at school who were in FS were some of the biggest, self-important pricks you could imagine.
The TSA agent gave me the option of checking the bag or having them take the lighter. I politely told him to keep the lighter, I even told him to take it home with him that was allowed. He politely demurred, and I went on my way.
I'm sure the fact that I was not threatened with arrest is due solely to me being male, though. I doubt it had anything to do with me remaining calm, jovial and polite; and not acting like an a$$hole.
