Google is tellingly the only company listed as part of the twelve government entities with ostensible support for such a plan. They say "Google" but they mean "NSA", right?

JFK was laughed at by some when he suggested landing on the moon. The technology simply did not exist.

If the government builds it, it will own it.
It can go ahead and build its OWN if it wants, but the private sector internet has done quite nicely on it’s own.

LOL - have they read their own 400 page “net neutrality” act?
It does nothing but argue that the government owns all. So some of those FCC members are hypocrites.

This is net neutrality. The government provides 5G for everybody and you will have to pay if you want 6G or higher. Only the rich can afford higher services. It is funny. Remember the government and Microsoft Windows. Ten years of federal law suits and Microsoft finally said, ok everybody can have the program for free. The computer industry has moved past this, have you?

Well opposing the nationalization of our communications network is a no-brainer.
The fact that the FCC responded indicates they thought this was a serious proposal ... which is troubling. Perhaps it wasn’t fake news after all.
To: markomalley
Trump should come out for nationalizing health care then maybe we could get some demorats to vote against it.

A government run 5G would work like the Obamacare website.
The USA has a 3rd world Federal Government. It really runs no more efficiently than say, Brazil’s or Turkey’s
The key is keeping it at bay, while free (and responsible) Americans run things themselves.
