Cottbus, is in Brandenburg... now, Merkel should never have sent refugees to these places as the treatment of refugee resettlement often looks as if they;re getting a better shake than the germans.

I understand your concern. After 45 years of doing family genealogy, I have managed to locate relatives from each of mu immigrant ancestors. I am very concerned about their welfare and safety.
