Here's a dirty little secret that I know from too much experience. At any federal government office in DC the bigotry against everyday working Americans as expressed by these two is prevalent. So it's easy for them to face their co-workers, who view these two as victims.

Their focus on Virginians in Loudoun county is only due to the proximity of that location to DC. Federal employees in DC in general have the same view of Americans in all "flyover country". Virginia takes their most intense hate due to geography.

By the way, they got this from every President (save Trump) since George H.W. Bush, who was among the worst. Presidents set the tone and the rest of government has been following this anti-American bigotry for nearly 30 years.

I still wonder about going to work when your stupid mugshots are shown daily on the tube, in periodicals, on the internet. Yes, I get that people might be prone to think, “well, we all do the same thing”; problem is, these two dorks got caught and put the spotlights on their whole branch, bringing them all under some opprobrium.
