Negotiating to win has got to be in his very DNA.

Trump wrote the Art of the Deal over 30 years ago

and spent the last half century making high level deals.

In particular...negotiating with crooks, unions, politicians, mafia (but I repeat myself) in New York.

A huge champion of the poor, Nancy Pelosi’s $22 million Napa home boasts tennis courts and a Bocci ball court. She is lucky enough to also have a helicopter landing pad.

Being poor is GREAT! Just not for Nancy...

A political creation of unions, she employs ZERO union people at her vineyard and at her luxurious bed & breakfast, Auberge de Soleil, where a buger and fries will set you back $22 before tax and tip.

The same is true of the 16-branch, upscale restaurant chain Pelosi partners in, Piatti, located in 5 states in the USA, shown below. Of the nearly 1,0000 employees working there, ZERO are members of a union.

Employing union people is FANTASTIC..!!! Just not for Nancy.

Must be nice, huh?

Let’s take a look at a different branch of Piatti, the photo below shows their branch nestled in La Jolla:

Pelosi also played a critical role in exempting American Samoa, where 80% of the island works for Starkist Tuna, from a mandatory minimum wage hike, from $5.35 per hour. Advocate For The Poor Pelosi is a major Starkist shareholder, you see.

Bad working conditions, and $5.35 each hour. Sorry Charlie..!

In a single year the bar tab for Pelosi’s huge government plane exceeded $100,000 —one time she diverted it over 1,000 miles in order to pick up a single order of chocolate-dipped strawberries.

In Feb 2018 Chris Matthews claimed the GOP's strategy to maintain its congressional majority was to relentlessly attack Nancy "because she is an ethnic sort of person".

Behold the highly ethnic, hard-scrabble Pelosi clan below, decked out in gangsta finery in South Central Napa Valley:

Yes. The Democrats only want their big government spending and know that their foreign constituents will continue to follow them for nothing more than false promises.

Yup, Trump showed the dreamers how much the Democrats truly care about them.

I agree with you. So many folks are trying to use an old 1990s playbook with this guy. They can’t keep up.

People trying to predict what he’s doing based on what a Bush would do, are hopelessly lost.

He intends to keep his word, and that’s about all you need to know with this guy.

I agree. There have been a few times when I wondered...

He shut me up straight away. LOL

The DACA deal was one that had me edgy.

I think he handled it masterfully.

Some of his comments did look like a sell-out was coming.

I opted to hold off. Glad I did.

Boy some folks sure couldn’t help it.

I think he realized what they wouldn’t buy off on.

Once he knew that, he could promise them the moon as long as they signed off on what he knew they couldn’t.

Which of our other presidents ever figured that out?

He’s a cut above. No doubt about it.

......”Some of his comments did look like a sell-out was coming......I opted to hold off. Glad I did”.....

Well that’s the key in understanding how he operates....’WAIT’and’WATCH’......when folks jump too soon they miss the plays and end up confused and their pants in a knot.

“Patience”.....I think God is teaching us all ‘more’ of that via our President. ....as we often don’t even give God room to operate.

They’re so used to being sold out, it’s just ingrained into them. I know how they feel.

Trump offered the Democrats and Dreamers a pretty good way to resolve their status issue but the Dems, true to their absolute desire for power, sold the Dreamers out.

Welcome to American politics, Dreamers. Your quest for American citizenship has just been shoved to the back of the legislative line by the Dems.

Perhaps your DACA quest theme song should be “Dream On”.

And your calling us racists, etc. isn’t going to get you any sympathy. In fact, it IS DECIDELY LOSING YOU SYMPATHY that was already there for your predicament.

You are not US citizens, only illegal or unauthorized residents. We really don’t owe you anything but your arrogance makes it sound like we do. That is not the way the law or society works.

Some humbleness could go a long way to getting some support but the way you talk negates that possibility.

“I’ve several articles now saying the same thing...dreamers are pissed at Democrats. Trump really did a number on the dems with his tactics around the wall and dreamers. Well done Mr. President.”

We have ourselves an absolutely brilliant President! Totally Machiavellian!

“And you know what, he took a lot of heat here from folks who did no better than the Democrats figuring out what he was really up to.”

indeed. I’ve posted until i’m practically blue in the face as to what Trump was up to from the very first second he offered his deal, and it made no impact on the hundreds of anti-Trump trolls and morons here who kept yammering that Trump had sold us out on immigration.

“He sold us out on the budget agreement this morning.”

everyone sold us out on this ... as usual.

Trump has only so much political capital and has to pick his fights. If he shut the government down indefinitely because of this he’d be unable to achieve those things that are really important, like halting both legal and illegal immigration that are destroying this country and dozens of other specific promises.

If is fundamentally up to Congress, in this case a Congress dominated by the GOP, to produce a budget - the Constitution says so. There are hundreds of thousands of spending matters in a budget bill and Trump can only say yay or nay to them all, even if he doesn’t like a few or many items in the bill. The primary fault is with the fake conservative GOP Congress ...

The Democrats don’t care about the Dreamers - they just want to use them for their own ends like every other “victim” group they dream up - and want them to remain victims forever.
