When everything is about race, nothing is about race. The left plays the race card as often as it plays the Nazi or gender card, its hackneyed alternative to any substantive discussion about issues and policy. It's much like those pull-string dolls: pull the string of a liberal and hear about race, gender, skin color, or immigration status. And not much else.
Race became the National Football League theme this year, as a bunch of privileged young athletes, being paid millions of dollars for playing a game, supported by an organization worth $75 billion, found it necessary to take a knee against the National Anthem. There they were, protesting the very country leaving them on the winning end of such income inequality.
The NFL season, thankfully, is in our rearview mirror for the next six months. Ahead is the Winter Olympics. Will the Olympic motto of "Faster, Higher, Stronger" be replaced by "Skin color and gender – darker and more confused"?
Rick Moran, on these pages, pointed out how the diversity police have infected the Olympic games, with unnecessary commentary on the skin color and sex orientation of athletes. Hopefully, the fastest and strongest athletes are at the games, regardless of identity factors, but we shall see if the virtue-signaling NBC commentators can resist the siren song of identity politics – much as the NFL has done.
Even before the opening ceremony, racism has popped up, perhaps as a new sport. America's flag-bearer is determined by a vote of sports federations. The two finalists were speed skater Shani Davis, a five-time Olympian with two gold and two silver medals, and Erin Hamlin, a four-time Olympian with one bronze medal. The vote was a tie.

The rules of the IOC requires the luck of the draw after contestants received a tie vote.
The Olympic Organizing Committee has fairly tight control over the intellectual property rights of media coverage of the Olympic Games. So. if they wanted to limit nonsense like this they could. Apparently, they are taking a page from the NFL media playbook and are committing brand suicide as well.

Over representation of Africans is a trend that won’t easily be changed with the rising popularity of black klans. We have an entire month devoted to stories of brilliant Africans, half of which are fabricated and others embellished, but it is never enough for the African race pimps.
Hmmmm. A bobsledding team from blackistan? Blacklandia?
Hispanics and Asians are displacing blacks as this country’s largest minorities anyway.
And it's hard to blame them. They pay so much money for the rights to broadcast the Olympics, and they have to generate viewership here in the U.S. That's why the coverage is about 10% sports and 90% "special interest stories" that are designed to capture an American female TV audience.
I am so sick of this crap.
Anyone who doesn’t know the history of the USA, and “slavery”, please stand up...we want to identify the really stupid people who inhabit our country.
People who live their lives by a color chart should go t work for a paint company somewhere.
Whether skin color has anything at all to do with intelligence, there are plenty of people out there who obsess over it, it has dulled their mental acuity and entitlement senses to turning pigmentation into some test of entitlement.
People like Nancy Pelosi, using her grandson and filibuster speeches to let us know how bad white skin annoys her...so bad, her white skin glows red with contempt. We all know that she is shilling for the ethnic vote for democrats, and as liberals wont, staying in power is all that matters.
To me, she’s saying, “You white people are too smart to fall for most liberal crap, but you POC’s (people of color) are just dumb enough to believe whatever we tell you.”.
Jesse Jackson - there’s no real need to keep reminding us that you “are black”....God, how could we not know - that after the past 50* years whether you are, or not? But, with all of your incessant bellowing over the years about your “misfortune” of being born black, you’ve yet to show enough class to turn down a “monetary bribe” to shut you up.
“FREE” - Jesse and his ilk, means “Forever Requesting Eternal Entitlements”.
Where was all this “courage” back when you were actually living through slavery? Why no riots against “Jim Crowe” back then? Oh, I know, don’t tell me...no communist party to incite you, and your “owners” (democrats) and their party didn’t want to give up the cheap labor.
So, like everything else, someone had to come riding in on their white horse and pull your asses out of the fire. But it seems that even after over 100 years of being marinated in the milk and honey of entitlements, you can never be satiated.
what’s the common denominator? Being black? Is that it? Is it “work” you don’t like, or just being a cult of spoiled brats that demand a life of sugar plums and unicorns?
Surely if you pause and look around, you’ll see other things that cause “bad luck” in your life...like, say, for instance...LIFE itself.
Then there is pride, self-esteem, responsibility, and doing what’s right. White people don’t “do what’s white”, we try to do what’s right. If you’re not getting your share and then some, maybe you’re too lazy to go down and apply for it. You know, like those who claim “racism” for requiring one to get a “voter ID card”?
I’m a dialysis patient, and there is a lot of black folks in my clinic; some can’t walk, some don’t have a car, or even a relative to bring them there...but - you know what - somehow....they GET THERE. Why? Because with dialysis you take the treatment, or YOU DIE. Somehow, they always manage to get there...and they could get to the voter ID office, as well. It’s like drivers’ licenses...somehow people always get there to get their license; because, they HAVE TO if they want to drive.
Then, there’s the “new racism”, involving “gender”. Pullleeeezzzzeeeee. If you don’t know your “gender”, you’re comatose, or special brand of stupid.
No, you “gender” isn’t “assigned” by the government, but by a simple knowledge of the difference between “things that protrude”, and “things that don’t”.
As I said, I’m sick of it all...if I start to read a “whine-piece”, the first mention of skin color, race, genderism, homosexuality, or other (pity me cause I’m somehow different) and I turn the page, click the channel, and unplug the power.
I thing the world has slid back to that Star Trek episode where kids took over, and their enemy is “the Grups” (the Grownups). Someone needs to introduce them to adulthood, and the Constitution.
Actually Al Has his own show now. At least this race pimp has a sense of humor. However, Africans never had a written language, math, or the ability to develop beyond living as primitives until Europeans arrived to drag them out of antiquity. Egyptians, are Arabs Al, not negroes.
