He’s actually Portuguese. He said his name is pronounced uncorrectly most of the time with the “y” sound for the “n” as in Spanish. It’s just plain New-ness.
I’m part Portuguese. They are a hearty stock. Most came to America (Legally) in the 60’s and 70’s. Worked hard to make a life for themselves and their families.
