U.S. Coalition Kills Russians in Airstrikes Against Assad Supporters in Syria, Reports Say
Newsweek ^ | 02/12/2018 | Tom O'Connor

Posted on 02/12/2018 11:53:29 PM PST by vikingrinn

The Conflict Intelligence Team found the Russians "may have fought alongside pro-Russia separatist rebels in eastern Ukraine prior to joining the fight against the Islamic State militant group (ISIS) and other insurgents challenging Assad's rule in Syria." The group also found Russians killed "appeared to have joined the Wagner Group, a private paramilitary company, before traveling to fight in Syria. Last October, ISIS released a video showing two Russian-speaking men the militants claimed to have captured, and subsequent research showed the two men were likely Wagner Group members fighting in Syria." "While the total number of 'Wagner' operatives killed in Coalition airstrikes is unlikely to ever be established, it is beyond doubt that this incident indeed took place."

It is not like we are there in a vacuum as we are there at the same request of Kurds who suffer under that British Imperial inheritance of Assad fictionally named Syria

I agree. We are engaged illegally in Syria. Congress is supposed to declare war, not unilaterally by Obummer.

“This military campaign isn’t even legal by our own standards, unless Congress issued a formal declaration of war that I’m not aware of.”

Well said.

In other words, illegitimately.

That long run has been running a long time. They’ve scored a few hits, especially at universities, but universities are growing obsolete. All they do is indoctrinate snowflakes, while the adults go to community college. But decisively undermining the US is not happening.

Well...Newsweak, right?

But a miscalculation by both sides - Turks fear a regional peace summit, Kurds actually moving troops from protected cities ...

This is from last October.

Makes one think that award-winning magazine Newsweak is trying to stir things up.

I don’t understand your comment?

Russia doesn’t target universities. The Chinese do and have major donors as financial leverage to make sure university depts tow a communist government-friendly line.

Russia does however target media and internet including U.S. veterans and troops, to spread disinformation meant to capitalize on disillusionment with Obama/Bush and America in general and promote false pro-Putin, post-Soviet narrative of both history and current totally ungrounded in reality and meant to diminish and rewrite America’s role in things like World War II, and spread anti-Israel hate.

Russia’s problems include everything they mock the West for but worse: Muslims make up 20% of their population and growing. The country has mounting poverty esp outside the big cities, extreme corruption, and political repression of speech and press. The country is practically a police state now as March 2018 elections approach. Almost all the money is in the hands of a grotesque circus of elitist oligarchs married to Western bank accounts...and Putin has pursued a Neo-con foreign policy with weak oil dependent economy.

“Newsweak right”

Clearly you don’t read Russian and don’t pay attention to Russian media as the story is being covered all over it...but the debate is over death toll.

Most Putin-bots on FR know next to nothing about Russia, or how actual Russians feel about the current state of affairs in Syria.

No, GoldenStateRose really knows about Russia, versus the mickey mouse Putin supporters and their garbage propaganda, Putin wouldn’t even be reelected in free elections.

Do you say the same thing, when Israel carries out strikes against Syria? It’s okay to arm terrorists?

Also, Syria, Assad and Putin have flooded the West with refugees, yes, it is our business.

Syria has been a designated terrorist country since 1979.

At least, the Kurd SDF got rid of ISIS in Raqqa, so they’ve done more than that than the mickey mouse Syrian/Russian force.

Newsweak is still better than those who post state media from an unfree country, that being RT and Russia.

Assad bought ISIS oil, CIA apologized to Turkey for saying they bought ISIS oil.

It is a capital T in Trump, perhaps the putin-bots are just hillary-bots too. DU would serve them.
