Lies and lies by omission are communist tactic #1, so I’d rank his statement a lot higher than #12. It’s darn close to #1 in the Democrat Handbook of Dirty Tricks.

For Commie libs..they lump in LEGAL immigration with ILLEGAL immigration as if they are BOTH the same. My family immigrated here from Israel in the late 60s..they NEVER once thought about coming here illegally..they came here, did everything by the book, became citizens, bought property, pay taxes..the way it SHOULD be done..they didnt cross the border, collect welfare and food stamps, and cheat the system

Tough darts.

She should have competed for her own country.

Then there wouldn’t be an opportunity for idiot democrats to manufacture more controversy.

There are so many tactics they use. I am open to lowering or raising any particular item.

The Rule of Law is the very foundation of our nation.

Rule of Law: The Great Foundation of Our Constitution
By Matthew Spalding, August 2010

Throughout most of human history, the rules by which life was governed were usually determined by force and fraud: he who had the power—whether military strength or political dominance—made the rules. The command of the absolute monarch or tyrannical despot was the rule and had the coercive force of the law. Rulers made up false stories of inheritance and rationalizations such as “divine right” to convince their subjects to accept their rule without question. This is still the case in many parts of the world, where the arbitrary rulings of the dictator are wrongly associated with the rule of law.

A principle that itself is quite old and long predates the United States, the rule of law is the general concept that government as well as the governed are subject to the law and that all are to be equally protected by the law. Its roots can be found in classical antiquity. The vast difference between the rule of law as opposed to that of individual rulers and tyrants is a central theme in the writings of political philosophers from the beginning. In the works of Plato and as developed in Aristotle’s writings, it implies obedience to positive law as well as rudimentary checks on rulers and magistrates.

This is so foundational to our core that I am always aghast at how Democrats flagrantly flout it and belittle it. It's also very distressing that so few Americans understand the necessity of the Rule of Law to preserving our Republic and how quickly we would fall into tyranny without it.

Because to him an immigrant is an immigrant regardless of how they came here. Absolutely no one I know of is against legal immigration, but allowing unfettered illegal immigration is creating national suicide. Democrats though only want them because they vote for Democrats by a hugely disproportionate percentage. They could care less how they positively or negatively impact the nation as a whole.

Right. My forebears came here from Switzerland. Arrived in Philadelphia on Sat., Nov. 9, 1750. Renounced all Germanic allegiance. Pledged fealty to George III. Rec’d Warrant Rights to 50 acres in York County, PA from the Penns. They and their progeny have lived here happily ever after.

It's particularly the story of Korean legal immigrants, just like the ones who used their Second Amendment rights to stand on the rooftops of their storefronts with rifles guarding them from looters during the Los Angeles riots. Said riots committed by people whose job prospects are most adversely affected by Durbin's precious "Dreamers".

Nice little can of worms you've got there, Senator.

Only a sociopath/psychopath would refuse to acknowledge the difference between legal immigration/immigrants and illegal invasion/aliens.

I was unaware that Chloe Kim was a child of undocumented illegal immigrants.

Oh, wait! Freepers claim that her parents were legal immigrants. Senator Durbin could use some Freepers on his staff to do his research and screen his speeches before he opens up his big fat mouth and shows his head is transparent without a brain.

But let’s remember, Chloe Kim’s story is the story of immigration in America.

Not really. Chloe was born and raised in the United States of America.

"....how does this correspond to DACA, Dreamers and illegal immigrants?...."

Come on. You know it doesn't. Durbin knows it doesn't.

But unlike you, Durbin is a lying, two-faced democRAT who would lie to the American people if it meant helping illegals get into this country.

Dickie and the democRATS want future voters and they'll lie, cheat and steal to get their way.

Legal, illegal, what's the difference, from the democRATS point of view?

“I see he came here legally and on merit.

Why dies Durbin think this is a defense of DACA?”

I would just LOVE to know what her father thinks about all this. Of course, he will have too much sense to say anything about it.

I work with a good number of LEGAL immigrants who definitely pay their fair share here. They are more American than...most Americans, certainly more than Turd Durbin. This DACA and amnesty crap absolutely boils their blood.

“But let’s remember, Chloe Kim’s story is the story of immigration in America.”

But so is mine. And so is the black guy two doors down.

What a walking piece of crap Durbin is. Only morons would vote for him, which is why he is a Senator from Illinois.

She is a perfect example of what the democrats oppose, because their embrace of illegal immigration make it harder for legal immigrants like her father.
