Yes, Melania will have a fantastic portrait, so long as the artist is more inspired by people like Norman Rockwell (Sentimental Realism), and NOTHING like William DeKooning (Brutal misogynist abstractions from a fauve pallete).

If I understand correctly, these pictures are intended for the National Portrait Gallery, not the White House.

I don’t follow formal portrait art; but I wonder if anyone has an artist suggestion for Melania’s portrait..

"Theres got to be an attic, pantry or elevator machine room in the White House that needs a couple of paintings."What is the destination of those two artrocities (that spelling intentional) anyway, somewhere in Wash DC? I did read somewhere here on FR that the productions are paid for by donations. At least they are not public property.

It perfectly captures the essence of 44s administration. While all of the other presidents look presidential and substantive, he looks like a lunatic sitting in the middle of a jungle. Im surprised he wasnt painted with his feet up on the desk.

Someone on Fox yesterday said the green stuff is kudzu. I know it’s called “the vine that ate the south”.
Maybe a not-so-subtle statement against slavery.
Except it was the Democrats that supported it for 2 plus centuries. No irony there!

Clinton pose is weirdly awkward and looks like he’s surreptitiously throwing a gang sign.
Otherwise all except 0vomit look dignified and respectful of the office.

To me Michelle’s dress looks like the print test page you get from an HP inkjet printer.
