Liberals are not going to allow a little matter like truth to get in the way of their blaming gun owners for the death of 17 kids.
The 2nd Amendment be damned, too. That says it all.
Israel knows how to deal with shooters and terrorists.

Common sense. Except to the illogical dullards who claim that “adding guns to schools won’t fix anything” and are fixated on the NRA and the ridiculous notions that gun laws magically stop criminals and crazy people from obtaining one of the 300 million guns in our country.
But more to the point, Israel’s Police Community & Civil Guard Department have a preventative care program that encourages safe behavior and offers violence protection strategies in normal situations. Yet students are also trained in how to respond to an active shooter situation.

They can’t just sit there frozen or they will die. America does earthquake drills, why not active shooter drills? More kids have been killed by shooters than earthquakes.”

Not trying to insult first responders but has anyone questioned this mouthy punk ass polidiot calling hisself sheriff or the local PD Chief as to where the school resource officers were and why they were not able, at the very least, mitigate the death toll ?
...... Pretty sure school taxes PAY for school resource officers to be present during school activities be they classes or extracurricular events, sports etcetera ........

Yes for fire safety reasons the doors are unlocked from the inside but locked from allowing access from the outside. If it must be opened from the inside it alarms, or should. Daily access should come from no more that 3 or 4 points such as a parking lot, the front door, the sports field and the administrative offices.
Our local school district has armed and trained staff as well as school resource officers. The actual number is considered Essential Elements of Friendly Information (EEFI) so the number of armed staff and cops is confidential need to know only .
“”Failure “” if at least one armed member of the staff or resource officers couldn’t get “in range” of an active shooter in less than 60 seconds.

How does that work if the building is a single, contiguous structure, such as the school where my wife teaches?
IF, the NRA offers “training”, I would bet the emphasis and majority of it is on GUN SAFETY.
Any idiot can figure out how to hold, point, and shoot a gun; they come with directions on how to load them (or, you can just watch a Hollywood movie).
SAFETY would be the emphasis of NRA training...not “mass killing”.
