“Andrea Yates, in one of the most heartrending crimes in modern history, drowned all five of her children – aged 7 years down to 6 months – in a bathtub. Yates had been taking the antidepressant Effexor.”

The back story about Andrea Yates’ life also had a lot to do with it-——you can’t blame ONLY the drug .

I’m sorry but other obvious points missed are ...

1) We have students older than 18, still in grade school, mixed in with mostly younger ones. Once 18, there is not parental ability to control student/child. Legally child can’t be controlled by either parent.

2) At age 18 in many states a person at age 18, can legally purchase a firearm, no parent or guardian has to be in the loop. And yet, today’s school systems want him in class with the minor children. WRONG !!

Sorry, if one can legally get a gun at age 18, then I DON’T WANT that individual in school with minors. PERIOD.

Seriously? You take from this story that the blame is ONLY the drug?

You are better than that.
