Very sad that the FBI missed all of the many signals sent out by the Florida school shooter. This is not acceptable. They are spending too much time trying to prove Russian collusion with the Trump campaign - there is no collusion. Get back to the basics and make us all proud!

And maybe SUED!

Rest assured Florida lawyers are lining up to get a shot at the FBI's incompetence.

Mr President, they did NOT miss any signals. Obama was President when they received the first tip. Lynch and Comey ran the Justice Dept at the behest of Obama and Hillary.

This first tip was their in to groom this kid and keep him on the psychotropic drugs to help them in their quest to Disarm Americans. The best way to stir emotions is always a School Shooting.

When they got the Second Tip, they knew time was running out, so they [put their plan in to High Gear and before too many people started asking questions about these tips and non investigations regarding them, they put their Plan in to Action.

As you can see, it worked and the discussion is now about Disarming American Citizens.

Another outrage. The FBI was notified that Larry Nassar was sexually abusing girls 3 YEARS before he was finally arrested. It is estimated that Nassar molested up to 40 girls during this time.

There is no excuse for the FBI’s inaction for 3 years. They easily could have notified the Michigan State Police and the Ingham County Sheriff’s office about this. Instead, is is the Indianapolis Star that breaks the story, 2 years later.

The evidence against Nassar was OVERWHELMING 3 years ago; the was no justification for inaction.

The problem with see something, say something, is some people are paranoid and they see things that aren’t there. Others see things that might or might not mean anything, but they don’t see things that are actionable. Few people understand what a good tip consists of and explaining it is complicated. The paranoid people will simply make up the necessary elements because they “know” they are right. Or they have an agenda and want to use the agency to further it. The see something, say something is essentially political feel-good pablum.

Reporting on this case lends the clarity of hind sight that was not there until after the event happened.

They also missed this one:
Russian intelligence targeted Hillary Clinton before she became secretary of state in 2009, FBI documents show.

I think the discussion be whether or not he is mentally fit to be found guilty and whether or death penalty is suitable.

I know Tim McVeigh did use seemingly endless appeals and was put to death 6 years after his crime.

I don’t either. It’s clear that they fumbled it and it’s equally clear that the swampers at the FBI are sending out plenty of their loyal retirees to try to explain it away.

I don’t feel that “missed” is descriptive when intentionality is involved.

I’m waiting for the press to start claiming that the demoralized FBI missed this because of Trump. I smell Soros or somebody like him behind the anti-NSA rhetoric and the push for a protect march in March. Heck, it could be Russians too.

“...The FBI failed at 9/11, Ft. Hood, Boston, San Bernardino, Orlando, Parkland....”

What’s ironic about the Boston Marathon bombers that it was Russian intelligence that warned the US about these brothers because of their frequent traveling to terrorists cells in former Soviet countries.

What did the FBI do? Apparently not enough.

This is an opportunity to fire Wray who is another deep state hack. Every rat except a few voted to confirm him for a reason. Unfortunately Trump refuses to fire people. There are still obongo holdovers everywhere. Puzzling actually. Rosensweasel should have been fired 10 months ago and now it’s too late.

The FBI isn’t a normal police department, it WAS supposed to investigate the threats, and nowadays ANY police department will react to ANY threats or tips about a possible school shooter.

The solution to this problem is to eliminate the "gun FREE Zone" status and implement the Israeli methods of school protection. We should have done this after Columbine.

Yep and they were a little too quick to admit they screwed up.

Why?

So that people wouldn't pursue it and see how they purposely stood down, ignored, or maybe even groomed this kid to do what he did.

>>Police agencies are not set up to take action on crimes that might be committed. They react to crimes.

Obviously, they can’t arrest people for thinking about committing a crime. But the FBI is unique in that it is not just a LE organization. It is also the premier crime data collection and behavioral profiling organization in America. It isn’t their job to “take action” prior to a crime, but it is their job to analyze and understand the full nature of crimes that are repeated in this country. If some Analyst is in DC saying, “Wow. My trends predicted a month ago that Cruz would do this! This is gonna look great on my evaluation!”, then we have a problem. Likewise, if they can’t make connections that the average FReeper has already made, then we have a bigger problem.

If the FBI is just a typical cop shop, then they need to be disbanded and their powers given back to state and local LE.
