The only question after every school shooting is how quickly it begins.
I’m talking, of course, about calls for guns to be banned and confiscated. This time, it was surprisingly swift and predictably fact-free.
There were, of course, the tweets from liberal luminaries, many of whom used outright lies masquerading as statistics to explain their position. Then there were the angry and/or weepy liberal news anchors berating the GOP for their response. The only twist in the narrative this time was a supposed political movement of cherry-picked high school students who were calling for gun control, all of which was given conspicuous coverage.
The FBI’s mishandling of the case, meanwhile, was pushed to the back-burner. The same thing happened to calls to focus on mental health, even though it quickly became clear the shooter had raised numerous red flags with his behavior in the past and was on the radar of law enforcement.
The most conspicuously-ignored proposal to stop shootings like the one in Parkland, Florida from occurring, however, was the suggestion that schools increase their security. In fact, when Ted Cruz went on CNN to talk about it, the network didn’t even bother to air the footage and half-anchor/half-pundit Chris Cuomo later had the audacity to call Cruz out for shirking an interview with “The Most Trusted Name In News.”

The morons that make up the left are destructing the democrap party by their childish demands for gun confiscation. They are so “over the top” that a vast majority of Americans no longer wish to identify themselves as progressive liberals.
The real issue they are avoiding is the fact that people kill people, guns are merely a tool. Rather than dealing with the reason why people do evil, they turn to big government to meddle with the tool.
Totally ass-backward logic. Who will stand firm and tell them so?
Was definitely a coordinated effort to flood conservative sites with open comments section spreading anti NRA talking points. Far beyond the average stupid trolls trying to out stupid the last stupid thing said by the last stupid lib.

I’d suggest the libs take a closer look at the
“Windy City”, a democratic led city with one of the strongest gun control laws in the country and MOST IMPORTANTLY, the city with the highest shooting death rates in the country. Seems they are missing something. Hypocrites!
Following the far more horrific Las Vegas massacre, the only talk was about banning bumpfire stocks.
Now it’s gone existential - repeal the Second Amendment and eventually ban all firearms from private ownership. Assault those who disagree.

I don’t mean to be callous about this but the media are in war mode to rile the American public against President Trump and honest gun-owning American patriots. Their current cause celebre is the attack upon the 2nd Amendment and the killing of school children.
The fact is a child has better odds of being struck by lightening two or three times than getting killed by a mass murderer. Since the beginning of our country there has been a little less than 600 people (adults and children) killed at school; K-12 and college. As for the family and friends of those 600, the utmost sympathy goes out to them.
The media lays the blame for these school shootings on President Trump, the NRA and American patriots who own weapons. No mention is ever made of the violent games children can get hold of depicting cop killing and mass murder nor do they ever blame Hollywood and TV actors who star in violent gun-blasting and sex movies or the lack of proper parental upbringing of this nation’s children.
Absolutely ridiculous. What law can possibly be enacted that would stop a crazy person or an unloved or mistreated person with a history of violent behavior from committing a crime? NONE!
100 000 children die needlessly from cancer every year. Childhood Cancer Parent Organizations say that of the 220,000 children who develop cancer every year, 80% die without adequate treatment. Many do not even receive morphine. Where is the outrage?
Every year at least 350 children between the ages of 1 and 4 are murdered - EVERY YEAR!. Where is the outrage?
I could name many more, not the least of which include 2700 babies killed in the uterus each year but why all the media attention when someone gets shot by a crazy person? Here’s why: There is a plot in this country fully supported by the news media and the majority of politicians to disarm this country; I call these people liberals (progressives) and the liberals want to tear down borders and bring about a socialistic global society and a tyrannical government serving only the elite. The only thing stopping them is the 2nd Amendment which was issued to prevent such tyranny. Liberals must be stopped and if it comes to another civil war, so be it. I stand with our Founding Fathers who actually foresaw such action against our freedoms and the criticality of the 2nd most important Amendment.
I’d say it is THE most important amendment, because without it all the others are on life support.
And don’t the liberals know it! 2008 candidate Obama, the poster boy for the new fascists on the left, complained about the US Constitution and suggested either replacing it or pairing it with a list of “government rights.”
Used to be that Social Security was the "Third Rail" - instant death for anyone who touched it. Could be Washington politicians are seeing this latest school shooting the same way.
When the news first broke the Dems predictably went into gun-grabbing blood-dance mode. But the FBI's failure to question Cruz, and the fact that he passed a background check despite obvious warnings, place the blame in D.C., not on the guns themselves. Pounding on this story only highlights their ineptitude on the Federal level. It dawns on the sheeple that FedGov can't protect you, and never could. Instead of banning all guns, there is now talk of arming teachers and having armed LEO's in schools. Not LESS but MORE guns out there!
This is where "Uniparty" comes in. Republicans never wanted this situation in the first place, and now Democrats are thinking it's not so good for them either.
Luckily, there's a local sheriff they can sacrifice. No one need go near this third rail again.

You know the answer to that one. The value of any life is solely determined by its usefulness to the leftist agenda — and the spot price varies considerably.

The Parkland shooter was taken alive, his motivations are self evident, and the incompetence of law enforcement is obvious. Safe to concentrate media fire on gun owners.
The Las Vegas mass murderer is dead & a veil of mystery enshrouds the entire incident, made that way by powerful forces. Blaming AR-15 owners invites further media scrutiny that may lead to inconvenient revelations. Too many questions, and the answer is `nothing to see here, move along’.
What’s a “meme” ? It must be another liberal concoction . I have and use three substantialy sized dictionaries and can’t find that word listed in them.
