They absolutely are good allies and great warriors. And our military understands that totally.
I don’t think we intend to abandon them, we are trying to avoid a direct confrontation with Putin. Putin has tried to avoid one with US. Days ago we killed a bunch of Russian contractors. I blame Iranian Militia for that, but the Deconflict messages for some reason were not conveyed properly. Or Russia made a direct strike at our forces. I don’t believe Putin would have done that.
