Where do you keep getting this “no chance to survive” baloney. Nobody expects a cop to jump off the Brooklyn Bridge because you are drowning. But outshooting this guy isn’t rocket science. He was a drug addled teenager who is in his very first shootout, watching kids fall, distracted by screaming, by fire alarms, half deaf from his own muzzle blast. There are far better than even odds that a good adult man with normal training can dump him without him even seeing it coming.
So who on that force of do nothing cops are you related too? The hiring of cowards in that political sheriffs office needs to be audited. Normal sane people will rush in when helpless kids lives are being extinguished. I am talking untrained most people fight/flight response when kids are at risk is fight. That’s why we are on top of the food chain.
These sheriffs officers stood around waiting. That is very odd. Nationally training for all law enforcement is go in immediately. First on scene is first in the door Learned that years ago and it’s SOP EVERYWHERE!

All that goofy deputy had to do was _try._ Even if the count remained unchanged and he emerged unhurt, he almost certainly would have been credited with looking for the shooter and saving lives if he’d just gone in and tried.

They should have entered the building, period..... it wasn’t a suicide mission..... if had been there at a minimum they could use cover and deny him further access....
In CQB at the ranges they would have encountered him their sidearms would have been more than sufficient.....
Would they have been in harms way..... yes.... but their training in tactics and firearm training would have overwhelmed the suspect....
They were flat out cowards.....
And yes.... I’ve been in firefights..... and sure didn’t run or hang back ....
I guess cops are more important to you than our military guys....
