Germany's statistics office has said the German state last year logged the highest annual surplus since the country reunited in 1990.

German inflation slowed more than expected to hit a 15-month-low in February, data showed on Tuesday, suggesting that price pressures in Europe’s largest economy are muted despite a robust upswing, rising wages and unprecedented monetary stimulus.

I’m always suspicious of German economic claims, since it is the epitome of the European socialist state. Germany takes cradle to the grave and then some. It’s socialist state must be a huge portion of the economy.
