Fox News has learned that in the critical moments as first responding deputies were searching for an active shooter on the property of Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school, a commanding officer on scene apparently ordered some of the initial responders to “stage” and set up a “perimeter” outside -- instead of immediately ordering or allowing officers to rush in to neutralize the suspect, Nikolas Cruz.

In one part of the report it says “Another source with close ties to a county and city official told Fox News a few of the responding officers on scene were very frustrated and one was brought to tears over the law enforcement response.”

this shooter may have been just what the doctor ordered for the broward county sheriffs department. while tragic, these problems would never have been fixed until they were so comprehensively revealed.

Yes, those would be the Coral Gables city cops who appear to have demonstrated courage and professionalism in the situation, once they got there.
At what point does incompetence turn to negligence turn to COMPLICITY ?

Big difference. He actually went in and stopped the killing, in contrast to the ahole cops who let the kids get slaughtered.

Israel and his department’s repeated failure to intervene in the violently downward spiral of the gunman was bad enough, but Israel-trained, gun-toting deputies' refusal to enter the school until the shooting stopped (and 17 teens killed) is a stain that Israel’s TV-ready bravado can never remove.
