This is just a calculated attempt by Kim to use the charm offensive of the Olympics to get South Korea to separate itself and drive a wedge between itself and the US in hopes to mitigate the effects of sanctions

Trump cut the Norths funding, from wherever it was coming. Theyre broke. Theyve got to do something and China wont bail them out. Their nuke scientist were killed in the lab collapse (We did that!) The south is their only recourse.

East Germany was in such a state that reunification almost caused the collapse of West Germany, which was strong and stable at the start.
North Korea is 20 times worse than East Germany was.IMO South Korea would be wise to simply hope that the North loses their military and just withers into nothing.I believe that an effort to reunify would cause unimaginable chaos in the entire Korean peninsula.

Rofl, the agreement is total vapid b.s. anyone who thinks the Norks will give up power is on hallucinogens. Their idea of unification is solely under the control of Big Brother Kim Jong-un. Bingo. Despot dictators like Kimmie boy never give up power, they only seek to expand it, in this case to the South of the 38th parallel.

If he is out of money as Q suggest he negotiate terms. Oh please! Anyone who follows this knows the Nork's are out of money and have been for a long time. Kim's finally run out of whatever reserves he's had and there's nothing left to steal from "his people."
Y'all act like Q is some magical know-it all wizard when the truth is he's just some cryptic fool just like the old man behind the yellow curtain in the Wizard of Oz.
Sheesh.

Notice that the main desire, focus and intentions of North Korea are NEVER about making peace with South Korea but always about going directly for “reunification” plans.
The north has zero interest in anything other than forcing a political defeat of South Korean independence outside the orbit of the dictators in North Korea.
The North is not going to offer peace, except as part of reunification.

And the up side of reunification for the Kims is.....? 200 billion dollars and the most glamorous prison of the international elite circuit, not to mention likely 40 more years of life.

They want “unification” so that they can kick the US out.

To: Steven W.
Uh, this agreement is nothing.
They agreed Moon will travel to Pyongyang for a “summit” and that the North desires reunification.
Reunification has been the unyielding policy of the North since 1949.
