I think this site is one of his primary sources for prep, has been since ‘98.
What does that statistic tell you?
Maybe that the criminal element is unafraid of the law?
Or the old saw that they are good, hardworking people (for the most part) just ain't so?
It tells me that the class of people breaking our immigration laws are already in the habit of breaking the laws of wherever they come from. Many of them are only in the US long enough to build a nest-egg for their future in Mexico. Imagine if you were working in America, utilizing the free services of the state welfare departments, earning money under the table through all kinds of employment schemes (including drug trafficking and prostitution), and living in arrangements that provide low housing costs (sharing rent costs with multiple people). One could save some money and send it to down to a Mexican bank, which would yield better interest than US banks. This money also escapes the US IRS and law enforcement investigators. If one engaged in criminal activity, they could send large sums of money out of the country with impunity. Hence, those already of the criminal mindset will engage in criminal activity and build that nest-egg faster. In the mean time Congress sit on this situation like old hens under a cranky rooster. Once one has a large enough savings they can move back to Mexico and live a prosperous life. The criminal theoretically can build their savings faster. A drug dealer, for instance, can make at least $100K a year. The ultimate results is one could retire at a younger age with a higher standard of living than most Americans. At the same time, Mexico has all of that American money pouring into their economy.
