South Africa's new flag, designed to represent the "Rainbow Nation", has almost completely supplanted the previous, apartheid-era flag, but some South Africans worry about the context in which the old flag is still flown and want to ban its display.
The Nelson Mandela Foundation, which wants the apartheid-era flag banned, saying it represents hate and racial discrimination.

Afrikaners hated the old flag. It was more of a compromise because it retained the British flag in the fly and there were constant efforts to remove it.
The present flag is a merger of the Afrikaner and African colors.
The flag represents hate and anyone caught flying it will be executed.

If so ... then that flag is perfect for representing present-day South Africa.
If I were a “white” living in that sh*thole, I would be off to the races to get out. It takes very little to stir the racial pot of everyone else. At one time South Africa had the greatest GDP on the continent. In 20 years, the country will join the other dead countries. Colonialism was not perfect but created society. Post Colonialism has only resulted in despair.
They should keep that flag. After 2-4 million South African Blacks starve to death once the white farmers’ lands are seized; and once South Africa cannot maintain its own water system because they have fired or driven out all the white employees who actually know how to keep the system working; never mind whether the Blacks can actually operate a food producing farm; water or not;....that flag will become yet another symbol that the next generation of communist idiots can run around with, touting the glories without mention of the mass murders. Maybe they’ll put Che Guevara’s face on it for a twofer.
The disaster that is coming very, very soon in South Africa will be absolutely epic and will greatly surpass Rwanda in terms of the death toll. If you think Europe is overwhelmed now by forced migration, you ain’t seen nothing.
From the point of view of flag and heraldic aesthetics, both old and new SA flags are ugly, IMO.
Shouldn’t their new flag reflect their hard-earned accomplishment of having the world’s highest rape rates, by far, for several years now?
Back to living in mud huts within a decade. HIV and GOD only knows what other epidemics will ravage the sub Saharan regions. Islam will save them and they will have the $h!thole they’ve always dreamed of.

That's not relevant to my point. Whites have been in South Africa for over 400 years. This would be like the Muslims telling Europeans to leave if Muslims ever become a majority.
I would rather see white South Africans announce that the western half of the country is theirs, and they will fight to the death to keep it.

I’ve been reading up on Rhodesia. The place seemed like a paradise before being turned over to the animals.
It’s not, but you’d certainly think so by the way the commies react here in the US if anything is said remotely offensive to non-whites (and usually, non-orientals).
South Africa is arguably more egregious, and I repeat, this is going to turn into a serious multi-million death bloodbath literally any minute now.
The degree to which this story is twisted and distorted is as much or more the same as Israel.
The land currently under the great majority of the farms now occupied by (primarily) Dutch settlers was absolutely unoccupied where and when they began to arrive 1620ish. There was nothing there. Zero. No people, no nothing, largely bone dry. The farms the Boers (and some Brits and some Huegenot French) settlers was completely blank and desolate. So yeah, I guess they “took” it. The Dutch aka Boers over many years developed these farms into efficient and productive farmland, which of course required the development of water resources and by the way, built in Capetown the largest hospital in the world, primarily for the medical care of natives. Yes, in the world.
The Dutch farms really began to be productive items in the early 1800s. Over the course of time, the black population went from (you ready?) 2 million to about 40 million. This happened in under 100 years, I can’t quote you which exact hundred years, but it is a population explosion that is simply staggering. Nevertheless, the farms allowed the pop explosion in the first place and kept up with the food needs of same. Capetown, today, is facing a water crisis of endpoint proportions, because all the white operators and engineers of the water works have been exiled to semi-concentration camps. Somewhat before the food resource for 40+ million people runs out, there will be starvation in SA on a scale only Africa can produce. Because none of the blacks appear to be able to run a farm. At all. To them, it is more important that Blacks own the land than whether the land can produce anything useful. If the blacks actually wished to own farms, there is plenty of land they could start farms on. They have NEVER done so. They only want what has been unfairly wrested from them, a complete myth. This one you can see coming. 5 million will die from this. And as far as I am concerned, they will have made their beds and can lay in them.
South Africa does not have a typical colonial history. Cf. the Wikipedia article, “Military history of South Africa”. It’s food for thought!
