I agree. If the powers that be feel that someone under 21 cannot legally own or purchase a firearm due to being “too young”, then they need to raise the minimum military draft/Selective Service registration age from 18 to 21 as well and exempt those who are 18-20 from registering for Selective Service, citing they are “too young” to be drafted.

Same argument can be made for a Constitutional Amendment raising the voting age back up to 21 from 18. If they are too young and immature to own/buy a firearm at ages 18-20, then they are too young and immature to be voting in our elections.

Gun grabbers will sneer & point out that their bill doesn’t prohibit 18-20 year olds from bearing issued arms while in the military. And fighting & dying, too; that’s all OK.

Because gun grabbers believe that ONLY the police & military should have access to guns.

A 17 year old can enlist with parental consent.

If the FL legislature going to suggest raising the enlistment age? What is it for the Florida National Guard?
