I can’t help but laugh at this, the camels nose went through the tent years ago , if you can restrict someone from buying a gun because of an felony then you can find a way to restrict anyone else for any reason, someone please show or tell where in the 2nd amendment it says you lose that right.....? If you can walk into a gun store then you should be able to purchase a gun.

I agree and disagree. Violent offenders should have their gun rights taken away, just like law breakers (felons) should lose voting rights. There has to be law and order in a civil society and you have to be able to restrict the violent element. The problem is taking gun rights from ‘felons’, due to the definition of a felon. A felony simply means that the crime was punishable by a year or more in prison, which has nothing to do with a propensity towards violence today. It might have been a better metric decades ago.
