EEOC and left-wing judges strike a blow against religious freedom
powerlineblog. ^ | March 10, 2018 | Paul Mirengoff

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit has agreed with the EEOC that a funeral home engaged in unlawful discrimination when it fired a male funeral director who was “transitioning” to female and dressing as a woman at work. The case is EEOC v. Harris Funeral Homes.

The opinion is by Karen Nelson Moore, a Clinton appointee and one of the most left-wing federal appeals court judges in America. She was joined by Bernice Donald and Helene White. Donald, an Obama appointee, is also a far leftist. White was nominated by Clinton but blocked by then-Senator Spencer Abraham. Later, Bush nominated her in one of those deals that generally favors Democrats.

The case is the handiwork of Chai Feldblum’s EEOC. Feldblum’s desire to run roughshod over religious liberty in order to maximize LBGT interests is well-documented. As we reported, Feldblum has said “I’m having a hard time coming up with any case in which religious liberty should win” over gay rights and that “in almost all cases sexual liberty should win because that’s the only way that the dignity of gay people can be affirmed in any realistic manner”. Sen. Mike Lee quotes Feldblum as saying “no individual exceptions based on religious beliefs” should ever be allowed if they conflict with “the goal of liberty for gay people.”

True, if you area male and in a female bathroom, you look like john, you dress like john and you sound like john but when confronted by a female in the same bathroom you claim today I feel like tammy, you can be brought up on charges and arrested for trying to expel “tammy” from this bathroom. sick and getting sicker

This SOB should be tarred and feathered. Ever heard of the First Amendment, A-Hole? Ever heard of Supremacy Clause? Ever heard of dominance over Constitutional provisions over legislative or administrative ones?

Cmon Mr President, GET RID of jerks like this.

Maybe all men should all start wearing dresses to work, maybe do skin darkening as well. Self-identify as a minority woman. Don’t be flamboyant; just business casual, low heels. Do become more womanly emotional in your work life, and join the girl’s gossip groups.

Make it clear that ANY questions, comments, looks or negative job change regarding zer status will result in at least a formal HR complaint. Become an untouchable. Use the women’s room for that morning dump.

That would throw the workplace into silent paralysis. No one could say anything. Women would be caught in their own game. The cross dressing men would gain great privilege, as women enjoy, against pretty much any complaint against them.

Turnabout tests fairness.

We’ve got to do something about these America-hating, activist “judges”. They have no business being on the bench. Just a bunch of little power abusing bastards who think that they are God. They’ve got to go. Judicial reform now!

Anything that creates more societal conflict results in more lawsuits. More lawsuits, more work for lawyers. Judges are/were lawyers.

We need to enforce the 10th Amendment and ditch the EEOC.

COngress has once again refused to do their duty under the Constitution and is Allowing their subordinates to redefine scientific fact to fit their emotions.

kind of dovetails in this article nicely.

W always was a socialist and humanist at heart, just like the rest of the Bushes. His track record as Governor in TX should have informed of what he would do as President. Deluded, ignorant conservatives and Christians did not want to hear this. The next one we need to keep out of higher office is George P. He is being lined up as the Trump alternative for 2020. Just watch.

Peaceful coexistence with these people is not possible. Harden your hearts for the tough times ahead.

“Deluded, ignorant conservatives and Christians did not want to hear this.”

Sorry, but none of the Bushes where ever my first choice when I voted. They were already selected by the time I voted. Where we supposed to then vote for Democrats? Still, I don’t give the Republic much longer past Trump, unless he can bust up The Media, and I mean ALL of it in all it’s facets, including internet and education. It’s all become part of the Democrat Machine.

Have them run the Bush against Trump in the primaries. Should take care of him a bit.

Lots of Christians and conservatives defended the crap that Bush was pushing, including faith-based initiatives, Medicare part D expansion, NCLB. Those of us who wished to hold Bush to account were attacked here and elsewhere. Evangelicals (I am one) were some of the worst in this regard. Only now are some conservatives waking up to what W really represented.

I would not be so sure. The Bushes play for keeps, and they will have more dirt than ever on Trump. Count on it.

Hell, I even voted for McCain and Romney. Hated the party for giving us such lousy choices. Hate the Republicans for what they are doing to Trump and his agenda. Imagine what things would look like if the run-of-the-mill Republican had the balls Trump did, and a zeal for the Constitutional Republic?

Given McCain and Romney’s support for gun control, which would have been passed by a R Congress, we were better off without either of them. Obama had no redeeming quality other than causing the R base to grow a spine and principles. That is in part why my support went to 3rd party candidates in both of those elections.

Trump was called a rapist when running against Hillary Clinton. I am not sure you can get any worse than that, except for fabricating imaginary people that don’t really exist getting murdered.
