Wrong—The new People’s Republic of California would quickly become an iron Communist state—looters shot, firm laws, prisons armed and conscripted into the People’s Revolutionary Army. Guns banned, food rationed, Internet down and controlled. The State needs things—they would take them. A wall would be built by California at the border-TO KEEP PEOPLE FROM ESCAPING TO MEXICO!
If you read my post, you would see I said these mobs would be a factor and this is so. To control them, shoot them, conscript them, whatever, would take valuable soldiering off the front lines where it would be needed to fight the civil war.
And if you think these welfare folk can be conscripted, you are fooling yourself. These people are useless. It is much easier to see them forcing the educated snowflakes out of their snuglies and handing them shovels. Again, this would take huge amounts of precious soldiers that can’t be spared.
Your wrong; your scenario would only play out in the major population centers, and they wouldn’t last long.
Conservatives in California are outnumbered by the Progs in the major metropolitan areas.
BUT WE CONTROL ALL THE FOOD PRODUCTION , WATER, AND POWER PRODUCTION AND DISTRIBUTION.
We control all the MAJOR DISTRIBUTION ROUTES.
All of these things start and are basically controlled from very conservative areas of California.
The choke points are at I-5 in southern Tehama County, the I-5 at Gorman, the I-10 at White Water, the I-15 at Barstow, the I-80 at Truckee.
There are a few more minor routes in the central valley and southern California that would be easy to cut off in strategic locations, but you cut off those major routes and most of California starves, dies of thirst (cut off the power and you stop the pumps) and has no electrical power.
I see you read Col Schlichter’s book.
But before this could happen, the government of the People's Republic of California would have to win a civil war to subdue the "red" counties in Northern and Eastern California, most of whose citizens will rally to the Stars and Stripes. Since these areas are full of gun owners and military veterans, Sacramento would likely be at a disadvantage and would have to look abroad for military aid.
But they wouldn't have to wait long. Cuba would be eager to provide military assistance, and China and maybe Russia would likely chip in as well, and the European Union would provide generous economic aid. Meanwhile, most of the world's nations would open embassies in Sacramento and California would be welcomed into the United Nations.
You do have a point.....
